I try not to say something is URGENT unless it really is.
Recently our one and only ministry truck broke down in Zambia and the team on the ground has really been struggling without a truck. It's been extremely difficult to operate without it!
We're hoping to purchase a used truck that's about 5 years old with low miles that will be able to take us into the remote villages during the rainy season. The most common truck over there is the Toyota Hilux, so we will be looking to find a great deal on one of these trucks.
I cannot express how important this truck is to our team and to the success of the ministry in Zambia. So today I'm launching a new urgent fundraising effort to raise $40,000 for a new truck. The truck is a huge part of our ministry that enables us to:
get teachers to and from the school (it's an 1.5 hr. walk)
serve the community with medical needs and supplies
meet with our church plant leaders
bring supplies to our farm and crops to the school
share the gospel to unbelievers in remote villages
and so much more!
There are TWO ways you can have a huge impact in helping us grow:
#1) Give towards this campaign. Some of you can give $50, $100 or $200 towards this campaign and some of you can give $1,000 or $5,000 towards this campaign. Here is a breakdown of how many gifts we will need to reach our goal.
1 person needs to give $10,000
3 people need to give $5,000
5 people need to give $1,000
10 people need to give $500
50 people need to give $100
That's a total of: 69 people who would need to step up. Would you consider making an investment into the ministry in Zambia?
#2) We really need you to share this email with at least 10-20 other close friends and family who would be interested in supporting this effort. If you could prayerfully set aside 10 minutes to compose an email and write a personal note about why they should support our ministry, that would go a LONG way in helping us expand our reach over 10-20x more than what we have the ability to on our own.
