Jennifer and I have been preparing for our trip to Zambia for weeks and it’s hard to believe it’s only 4 days away! I just wanted to give you an update on how things are looking.
School Supplies: We created a registry on Amazon and many of you helped with supplies for the school! Thank you so much! We have reached our limit of what we can physically bring over. We’ve got math curriculum, science curriculum, history curriculum, glasses, great reading books, balls, shoes, rain coats – oh man, I don’t think we have enough space to pack our own clothes! Oh well.
However, we are still short about $1,600 of our goal. Whatever we can raise in the next 4 days will be taken over and used to purchase the remaining supplies for the school (chalkboards, lap boards, geometry sets and supplies for the teachers). Any amount you can give towards this will go a long way in Zambia as it is cheaper there.
Gospel Outreach Projector System: We are excited to say that we were able to raise enough money to purchase the Vista 1000 Backpack Presentation System! This 40 lb backpack audio and video projection system equips the field worker to show the JESUS Film (and other Bible training videos) and address crowds of 1,500+ viewers.
In addition to the projection system, the Vista 1000 includes 2 microphones, a 2-channel amp, and 2 speakers so field workers can share a message and do praise and worship along with the film. Everything fits in one comfortable easy-to-carry backpack. It’s truly a mind-blowing system and it will be a huge asset to the ministry and church workers. Thank you for making this possible!
